The UNC Police Department is turning to the campus community and beyond for help identifying suspects in a recent break-in to the Loudermilk Center for Excellence.

A post on social media made on Monday said campus police are searching for three people connected to a break-in to the facility — which is connected to Kenan Stadium — during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 4. A trio of photos shows different people from what appears to be security camera footage.

According to the UNC Police to Citizen crime log and the incident report filed by the department, the breaking and entering was listed as a non-forced entry to the facility on June 4. The incident report listed the time of the break-in between 2:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. and said the suspects are believed to have stolen team-issued clothing from the facility.

The Loudermilk Center for Excellence is the main area for Carolina’s student athletes to receive resources and supporting, serving all 28 athletics programs. The space offers classrooms for teaching and tutoring, studying spaces, office spaces, a strength and conditioning center, and more. It is also connected to the Blue Zone, which is used as a Carolina Athletics event space and spot for Rams Club donors and special guests to watch games in Kenan Stadium.

The post from UNC Police did not specify which areas the suspects were in during the breaking in and entering of the Loudermilk Center.

Campus investigators said Monday if anyone has information about the suspects’ identities or the break-in, they are encouraged to contact Investigator Lynch with UNC Police by calling 919-843-6165.
