Some Chapel Hill commuters may have experienced delays on their commutes after a trio of traffic-related incidents Friday morning.
The Chapel Hill Police Department reported a fallen tree at Country Club Road and Ridge Road and two separate crashes: one at Raleigh Road and Hamilton Road and a second at 700 East Franklin Street.
A spokesperson for Chapel Hill Police said two people involved in the single-vehicle crash at Raleigh Road and Hamilton Road were transported to the hospital.
Police also said the crash along East Franklin Street closed one lane of traffic for part of Friday morning.
Meanwhile, the fallen tree along Country Club Road caused some power outages in the area. Around 329 Duke Energy customers were without power and several traffic lights were out in the area before 10 a.m., according to the utility company. As of 1 p.m., Duke Energy had restored power for all customers except 19, who are expected to see power restoration late in the evening or overnight.

The Chapel Hill Police Department said in an alert on Twitter that motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians should treat any dark traffic signals as a four-way stop.
The police are investigating the cause of all three incidents.
