Several Chapel Hill Transit bus routes will be detoured beginning this Thursday as a result of a major street resurfacing project on Ridge Road.

The road project will affect all vehicular traffic on Ridge Road, as well as the A, CCX, DX, RU and U bus routes and is expected to last around three weeks.

The A Route beginning at Raleigh Street will miss its usual stops on South Road at Student Stores, Stadium Drive at Stadium Gate #2, Stadium Drive at Ridge and Ridge Road at Rams Head Deck.

There will be alternate stops for riders of this route on Raleigh Street at Magnum Hall, South Road at Woolen Gym and Manning Drive at Public Safety.

The A Route beginning at UNC Hospitals Parking Deck will miss its usual stops on Ridge Road at Ehringhaus Hall, Ridge Road at Stadium Drive, Stadium Drive at Carmichael Hall and South Road at Fetzer Gym.

There will be alternate stops on Manning Drive at the Craige Parking Deck and on South Road at Raleigh Street.

The morning CCX Route beginning at UNC Hospitals Parking Deck will miss its usual stop on Ridge Road at Ehringhaus Hall. An alternate stop will be located on Manning Drive at Craige Parking Deck.

The evening CCX Route beginning on South Road at Fetzer Gym will miss its usual stop on Ridge Road at Rams Head Deck. An alternate stop will be located on Manning Drive at Public Safety.

The DX Route beginning at UNC Hospitals Parking Deck will miss its usual stops on Ridge Road at Ehringhaus Hall, Ridge Road at Stadium Drive, and South Road at Fetzer Gym.

There will be alternate stops on Manning Drive at Craige Deck and South Road at Raleigh Street.

The RU Route beginning at Family Medicine will miss its usual stops at Ridge Road at Ehringhaus Hall, Ridge Road at Stadium Drive, and Ridge Road at Law School.

There will be alternate stops on South Road at Country Club Drive, and Manning Drive at Craige Parking Deck.

The U Route beginning on Raleigh Street will miss its usual stops on South Road at Student Stores, Stadium Drive at Stadium Gate #2, Stadium Drive at Ridge and Ridge Road at Rams Head Deck.

There will be alternate stops on Raleigh Street at Magnum Hall, South Road at Woolen Gym and Manning Drive at Public Safety.

Chapel Hill Transit reminds residents that while all efforts will be made to maintain schedules, to expect delays and allow for extra travel time due to detours.

Detours and delays will also affect route predictions made on NextBus.
