A pedestrian was struck by a Chapel Hill Transit bus near the Carolina Inn on Tuesday afternoon.
Chapel Hill Police officials said around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday that emergency personnel were responding to the area around Cameron Avenue and Pittsboro Street. A police spokesperson confirmed that a transit bus struck a pedestrian near an intersection in that area, although it was not known if the pedestrian was struck while in a crosswalk.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
The pedestrian was transported for treatment of minor injures, according to law enforcement.
