UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police say Jemarrea Burton has been safely located.
The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking the community’s help in locating a missing local teenager. Jemarrea Burton, 16, was last seen in Chapel Hill Friday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to a release from the department.
Police describe Burton as five feet, five inches tall with hair last seen pulled into two buns and dyed red. It is not known what she was last wearing. Police believe Burton ran away.
