A Chapel Hill – Carrboro City Schools elementary school is on lockdown Friday after reports of sounds similar to gunshots near Frank Porter Graham Bilingue Elementary School.
“These sounds were off campus, but near enough to be heard,” district officials said.
No injuries were reported on the school campus, but the school has been placed on lockdown while Chapel Hill Police investigate, according to a post on the district’s Facebook page.
