The results for Carrboro’s second biennial citizen’s survey have been collected.

Mayor Lydia Lavelle says after 400 residents from a wide range of demographics were surveyed, the town received positive results.

“We were very very pleased,” says Lavelle. “I believe every single area went up a little bit. We were actually excellent last go around, and this go around many areas moved up.”

The survey is an effort to gain citizen feedback of the effectiveness of town services.

While feedback across the board was mostly positive, Lavelle says Carrboro’s police and fire departments received the highest grades.

“The fire department got all A pluses,” says Lavelle. “People love our fire department. They’re doing great work, and that’s really exciting to hear too.”
