All of Orange County’s state and federal representatives cruised to re-election on Tuesday night.

North Carolina 4th District Democratic Congressman David Price received more than three-quarters of the vote over Republican challenger Steve Von Loor and Libertarian Barbara Howe.

Meanwhile at the state level, the three incumbent Democrats made their way to easy victories.

Valerie Foushee was elected to serve another term in the North Carolina Senate representing Orange and Chatham counties. Foushee overwhelmingly defeated Republican challenger Tom Glendinning.

Verla Insko and Graig Meyer both easily won another term in the state House of Representatives.

County races for sheriff, district attorney, clerk of court, register of deeds and county commissioners were all settled during the Democratic primary this spring.

Heather Main and Chris Hogan were the two candidates elected for Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor.
