UNC Police are searching for an individual in connection with a break in at the Dean Smith Center earlier this month.
Authorities released little information about the incident, only saying that it occurred in the Smith Center, men’s basketball offices and locker rooms early Friday morning, March 9. The break-in took place while the men’s basketball team was in Brooklyn as part of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.
Police identified the individual seen on security camera as a “person of interest.”
Anyone with any information regarding the individual or the incident is asked to contact UNC Police at (919) 962-0564.
