The Chapel Hill regional of the NCAA Baseball Tournament will be played from Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5 (with an extra game on Monday if necessary). While baseball fans flock to Boshamer Stadium on the UNC campus, Chapel Hill Transit will be running its regular services.
However, the service is warning customers they should expect delays due to the expected high pedestrian and vehicle traffic around downtown Chapel Hill and the UNC campus.
“Chapel Hill Transit will make every attempt to maintain schedules but is advising customers to expect delays and to allow extra travel time,” it said in a statement Thursday.
Here is the official on-campus parking information for the baseball games this weekend:
Parking will be available in the Rams Head Deck for $10 and in the Craige Deck for free (levels 5-9). Beginning at 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, there will also be free parking available in the Bowles Lot, the Raleigh Road Visitors Lot and on Stadium Drive. Disability parking is available for $10 in the Rams Head Deck. Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic for the weekend.
Gates will open at Boshamer Stadium two hours prior to first pitch. Carolina and Hofstra are scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. on Friday. For a full look at the weekend’s schedule, click here.
