For Carolina fans who aren’t with the team in New Orleans, the Dean Smith Center is hosting a watch party for the national championship game Monday night.
As with previous watch parties in the arena, the game will be shown on a large screen at one end of the building and also on the four video boards in the upper deck. Entry A will open to UNC students, faculty and staff at 8 p.m., and then to the general public at 8:15 p.m. Admission is free.
Concessions and merchandise will be available inside the building, and parking is available to fans for $5 in the Manning, Bowles and Craige lots beginning at 7:30 p.m. As has been the case all season, payments will be cashless only. The Carolina Basketball Museum, located next to the Smith Center and Koury Natatorium, will be open on Monday between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Tip-off between UNC and Kansas is scheduled for 9:20 p.m. The game will be broadcast on TBS.
