Footage from a residential surveillance camera has led to the arrest of two individuals suspected of a break-in of a home in southern Hillsborough.

Police say the incident took place around 3 pm on Wednesday, August 9, in the Waterstone development. Two suspects were taken into custody in connection with the break-in on Saturday, August 12.

Authorities say the surveillance footage led to the identification of 19-year-old Steven Dillon Ferrell, of Mebane, and 25-year-old Jeffrey Dewayne Perry, of Durham, as suspects. Both were taken into custody on Saturday, according to police, and were being held in the Orange County Jail under $5,000 secured bonds as of last update.

Ferrell and Perry are charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. Police estimate the value of the items that were stolen at $950. Some of those stolen items have been returned to the owner.
