Chapel Hill Police are looking for five individuals as part of an assault investigation.

Authorities said that the alleged assault occurred at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, at 140 West Franklin Street.

A 52-year-old man was struck in the head with a skateboard during the incident, according to law enforcement, and a 70-year-old male was threatened.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or who can identify the individuals in the photos is asked to call Chapel Hill Police at (919) 968-2760 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. and ask for Investigator Slagle or email sslagle@townofchapelhill.org. Those with information can also call 911 or contact Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward of us to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Correction: Police initially said the assault occurred on Saturday, February 2, before issuing a correction that the alleged incident occurred on February 6.
