The Carrboro Police Department is investigating after a person was shot in a neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.

According to authorities, police responded to a disturbance call on Price Street. Upon arrival, officers found a subject who was shot and subsequently treated at the scene. A spokesperson for the department told Chapelboro the victim suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, but there is not believed to be an ongoing threat to the community.
