The Wegmans in Chapel Hill is officially open.

The newest grocery store in the Triangle area opened its doors shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, allowing Chapel Hill residents to finally shop at the store that has long been anticipated.

Store Hours

Wegmans in Chapel Hill opened from 6 a.m. to midnight every day. The store opened at 9 a.m. on its first day.

Health Precautions

There will be only one way in and one way out for customers in an effort to limit interactions. Markers are placed throughout the store to indicate a six-foot distance.

Other safety measures include sanitizer stations for employees and customers and plexiglass at all registers. All employees must pass a wellness check before they can start work. There is also a team of staff dedicated to cleaning and sanitizing the store.

Live Stream

A live stream of the store’s exterior is available on Wegmans’ website so customers can check the line outside before driving over.

Online Shopping

Don’t want to shop in-store? Wegmans customers can order via the company’s app for curbside pickup and meals to go.

More information can be found on Wegmans’ website.
