Another Eastgate Crossing business has set a reopening date after sustaining flood damage during Tropical Depression Chantal last summer. The Loop, which has been closed since Chantal hit the Triangle last July, will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m.
“After months of rebuilding, our beloved neighborhood restaurant returns — thanks to community support and shared resilience,” the business said on its official Facebook page. “Can’t wait to see your familiar faces — we miss you!”
The Loop, located at the south end of the Eastgate Crossing shopping center, was one of many restaurants and businesses in the complex which had to close in the wake of Chantal’s flooding. Shake Shack and Great Outdoor Provision Co. were among several which closed but have since reopened. Others, such as Snooze A.M. Eatery and Kipos, have yet to reopen — though the latter has indicated on social media it is making progress toward a reopening date and the former aims to reopen in February.
The Loop has a second Triangle location in Durham which was not affected by the flooding, and is where the Chapel Hill staff worked during the Eastgate Crossing location’s reconstruction. The Florida-based franchise known for its burgers, sandwiches and milkshakes has two other North Carolina locations in Winston-Salem and Kernersville.
