Drift Coffee & Kitchen, a cafe serving high-end coffee along with breakfast and lunch options, opened its new Chapel Hill location on Tuesday. The new branch is located at 111 South Elliott Road in the Village Plaza shopping center.
“We serve things that we enjoy,” says the Drift website. “Items that are minimally processed, nutritious, fun and flavorful.”
Drift has also opened up a new location in Raleigh, expanding the Triangle footprint of the popular chain, which is based in the beaches in the southeastern part of the state. It takes over the storefront most recently occupied by Just Salad, which closed in October 2022 after just two years in business.
According to the website for Drift’s Chapel Hill location, the “full-service cafe will be offering a wide range of breakfast and lunch options including premium coffee, beer, wine and cocktails. The bright, open space will be your new favorite all-day dining spot in Chapel Hill.”
The location is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week, though the kitchen will close two hours early.
