Two restaurants are set to join the downtown of Carrboro in the coming months.
Signs for the Thai Station Restaurant have been displayed on the building at 201 East Main Street. Marketed as an Asian fusion restaurant, the Thai Station will open in the space that formerly housed the CrossTies Bistro & Beer Garden restaurant until it closed in May 2019.
In the building which used to house the Milltown restaurant, signs indicate that a location of Luna Rotisserie and Empanadas will be opening soon, as well. The restaurant based around South American cuisine has an original location in Durham, which opened in 2015.

A report from the News & Observer said Luna owner Shawn Stokes settled on Carrboro after two years of searching for the ideal spot in the Triangle for a second location. The article also says Stokes and investors in Luna purchased the building in November instead of signing a lease. Milltown closed in May after 15 years of using the building.
On its Facebook page, the Thai Station Restaurant says it plans to open this month. Luna Rotisserie and Empanadas is expected to open in February.
