The art on the outside of the bus features several phrases, including “Latinx Pride” and “Sí, se puede,” or “Yes, we can!”
This will be one of our most exciting bus wraps and it will include an interior element. This is a result of our ongoing art + transit collaboration with @CHCommunityArts & @chpublib – an effort to bring more public art to the communities we serve. https://t.co/sc7W7Oup91

The unveiling of this new bus wrap comes amid larger changes for Chapel Hill Transit and public transportation within Orange County.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Chapel Hill will be granted $5.6 million in federal funding to acquire new “zero-emission” buses and begin to shift toward electric public transportation. The funding comes in the form of a grant from the Federal Transit Administration.
In addition, Chapel Hill is set to receive one electric transit bus in North Carolina’s plan to replace vehicles and install charging stations around the state.
