Early voting has begun in this year’s municipal elections, with closely contested races in all three Orange County towns and three seats up for grabs on the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School Board.
As part of the campaign, numerous local organizations and media outlets have weighed in with endorsements – including NEXT Chapel Hill-Carrboro, the Chapel Hill Alliance for a Livable Town (CHALT), the Orange/Chatham Sierra Club, the Progressive Democrats of Orange County, the Campaign for Racial Equity in Our Schools, the Northside Breakfast Club, the Indy Week, the Daily Tar Heel, and two LGBTQ rights organizations, Equality NC and the LGBTQ Victory Fund.
