Summer is almost here and the events calendar is heating up in Mebane! This week, Kelly previews the “Music on 4th” summer concert series (formerly known as Musical Chairs), which kicks off this Friday with the Red House Band, and looks ahead to next week’s screening of Zootopia 2 as Mebane wraps up its “Movies in the Park” series. There’s a lot of activity further down the road as well – including Juneteenth festivities on June 13 and Mebane’s Independence Day celebration on July 4.
It’s also a busy time for local government: Kelly shares details about city manager Richard White’s budget proposal, which includes a two-cent property tax increase to deal with rising costs, plus a major national honor that just came in for the Mebane Police Department.
