Carrboro Mayor Barbara Foushee calls in to speak with 97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell on Friday, June 28. The pair discuss several upcoming events in town, including the end of Pride Month celebrations organized by the town Friday night and the annual Fourth of July activities for next week. Foushee shares her excitement about the Power 100 Awards Ceremony hosted by Black Business Ink, in which she and new Carrboro Town Manager Patrice Toney are set to be honored. Plus, Carrboro’s early voting location is moving from the Bim Street building to the new Orange County Library building on South Greensboro Street — once the project is finished this fall.
