The Jersey Mike’s Subs franchise on South Elliott Road in Chapel Hill has officially moved and opened in the Eastgate Crossing shopping center.
The sub shop completed its move to 1800 East Franklin Street on Wednesday. It had previously been housed at 245 South Elliott Road for nearly 20 years.

Owner Charlie Farris, who bought the franchise in 2009, said he is excited about the move to the shopping center.
“Everybody knows Eastgate,” he said. “It’s a high-traffic, hot spot in town.”
The news comes shortly after another Chapel Hill restaurant moved locations in recent days. The Indian restaurant and bar Cholonad moved to 310 West Franklin Street on April 24.
Farris said the location is continuing its pickup, delivery and online orders of sandwiches.
