****UPDATE: A police report was filed Tuesday afternoon for vandalism and damage to property. A spokesperson for the Chapel Hill Police Department said Wednesday the investigation is ongoing.****

Election morning in Chapel Hill led to the discovery that Mike Bloomberg’s campaign office in Chapel Hill had been vandalized with graffiti.

The graffiti, which reads “Trump 2.0,” was done on the front doors of the office and was clearly visible from Franklin Street.

A spokesperson from Chapel Hill Police said the department was aware of the graffiti and a police report would be filed. When an officer reported the graffiti Tuesday morning, no one was available at the office for a statement.

Bloomberg opened his campaign office in Chapel Hill in January. Super Tuesday will provide a true test for Bloomberg, who has spent over $400 million on advertising this election cycle.

Bloomberg’s campaign believes he has particular appeal among suburban Democrats — the well-educated, upper middle-class voters who may be more moderate on financial issues and may be aware of his advocacy on gun control and climate change.

However, the former New York mayor could be at risk of falling behind fellow candidates Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden as election results roll in. Biden scored a major victory in South Carolina to rejuvenate his campaign, while Sanders has a predicted victory with the day’s largest prize of California.
