UNC basketball takes on Yale tonight in the Tar Heels’ first game since Christmas.

The Tar Heels snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over UCLA in Las Vegas and freshman guard Jeremiah Francis continues to emerge as a playmaker with Cole Anthony sidelined. Francis’ continued development will be a key storyline for UNC in Anthony’s absence.

After losing four starters from last year’s NCAA Tournament team, Yale comes to Chapel Hill with a 10-3 record. The last time these two teams played was February 4, 1980 in a 85-74 Carolina victory.

Tip-Off Time

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. from the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill.

97.9 The Hill is broadcasting every North Carolina basketball game this season.

Our coverage of UNC vs. Yale begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Countdown to Tip-Off show.

Following the game, 97.9 The Hill will carry a post-game wrap-up show.

TV Schedule

The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network. As of today, Spectrum, Dish and DirectTV all carry ESPN and the ACC Network.

What if I don’t have cable?

A live stream will not be available ESPN’s digital platforms through the ACC Network, but plenty of other UNC basketball games this season will be available for online streaming.

Additionally, several cord-cutting options carry the new ACC Network.

YouTube TV prices at $50/month and carries all of ESPN’s channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.) as well as the ACC Network. YouTube TV does not offer NFL Network or NFL Red Zone for pro sports fans.

Playstation Vue prices out similarly at $50/month and carries ESPN and the ACC Network. Vue also carries NFL Network and NFL Red Zone. A key note here: PlayStation Vue will be suspending its services beginning at the end of January.

Hulu TV goes for $45/month and includes all ESPN channels, but does not carry MLB Network, NBA TV, NFL Network or NFL Red Zone.

Sling TV is the cheapest at $25/month, but includes the fewest channels. Make sure to avoid Sling Blue, as that package does not carry ESPN.

Here’s the best way to watch North Carolina basketball games (if you’re not in attendance):

  1. Turn on the game with your preferred cable provider
  2. Mute your television
  3. Tune in to 97.9 The Hill on your radio OR streaming online at Chapelboro.com
  4. Sync up the feeds to hear Jones Angell and company announce the games
