Former UNC men’s tennis standout Richard Hardaway will be inducted into the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame next month, alongside his brother Charles–who played for The Citadel.

While playing for the Tar Heels, Richard Hardaway won the ACC singles championship in 1973 and also teamed with Tommy Dixon to win the league doubles title in both 1973 and 1974.

Both Hardaway brothers were top high school players in the state of South Carolina prior to their outstanding college careers.

They will be the 66th and 67th members of the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame upon their induction on Dec. 8 at the organization’s annual Hall of Fame banquet.
