After missing the last three games with a sprained right ankle, UNC junior guard Theo Pinson will return to action Thursday night for the Tar Heels’ big rivalry matchup at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Duke.

UNC tweeted out the news late in the afternoon, just hours before the game’s scheduled tip time of 8 p.m.

Pinson will continue to come off the bench, as he has done in each of the six games he’s played in this season.

The Tar Heels are 6-0 with Pinson in the lineup, however, he missed the team’s first 16 games after breaking his right foot during the offseason.

Pinson has done a little of everything for UNC this season, scoring 6.2 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

In a win over Florida State last month, the 6-foot-6 Pinson even played the center position with the Tar Heel big men in foul trouble.

His versatility–both offensively and defensively–will be much needed on Thursday night against the Blue Devils, as UNC looks to pick up its second straight win in the rivalry.
