As NFL Draft preparation gets underway for a number of former Tar Heels, a few have begun accepting invitations to collegiate All-Star games.

Senior wide receiver Austin Proehl became the latest to do so on Friday, when it was announced by the team’s Twitter account that he will participate in the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl.

Other UNC players selected to All-Star games so far include cornerback MJ Stewart (Senior Bowl) and safety Donnie Miles (Tropical Bowl).

This particular event–which held its inaugural edition in 2012–is played in Los Angeles at the famed Rose Bowl stadium.

Players are split into the “American” and “National” teams, which will be coached this year by former St. Louis Rams head coach Mike Martz and former Washington Redskins cornerback Darrell Green.

Throughout the week-long event, NFL scouts and coaches will also be watching the participants as they look to prove they belong at the next level.

The game itself is scheduled to be played on Jan. 20.
