It’s that festive dressing time of the year. The holiday soirees are in full swing. Whether you shop online or dig deep into the recesses of your closet, you have to assemble outfits for multiple occasions. What’s trending now? Here’s a seasonal short list to get you started.
Statement Coats – Step outside and make a statement. Pick a print or a paisley. The more detail the better. Add some color too. Ready to turn heads? Beyond keeping you warm, a statement coat will demand attention and get noticed.
Animal Print – Prepare to be on the prowl in your favorite leopard dress, skirt, jeans, blouse, boots or purse. Comb your closet and find that wild piece that you love, because it’s once again trend-on.
Winter Florals – Weren’t florals popular all spring and summer you ask? Yes, they were. And the floral motif blooms into winter with sheer blouses and luscious color and texture in everything from skirts to dresses to boots. This weekend a party hostess sported a trend-on floral blouse with a black background and floral pattern in reds and greens. Oh so festive!
Fine Wine – Hues like burgundy, mulberry and cranberry sound good enough to drink or eat. But think about these as the colors of the season to wear right now, especially in accessories.

Plaid – Red and black, black and white or even multi-colored. Plaid is back. You will see the plaid trend in dresses, skirts, blouses, jackets and more.
Cold Shoulder – Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Your shoulders will be bare. And yes, cold shoulder is still as hot as ever.
Capes – Call it a cape or a poncho or a fling. Go ahead and pretend you’re a super hero. Wear one and stay warm while looking ultra stylish.
