The Yardarm stopped by Live and Local this week, ahead of a show at Cat’s Cradle Back Room to celebrate the release of their new album “On A Tipping Sea.”
The Yardarm is a four-piece band comprised of Jason Bales, JJ Westfield, Palmer Smith and John Cowan. “Tipping Sea” is their first full-length album, but they’ve been together for well over half a decade; Bales and Westfield split songwriting and singing duties, giving the band an eclectic sound with a wide variety of influences ranging from country to roots/Americana to indie rock.
