Join Aaron Keck Monday through Friday at 6:00 p.m. for “Live & Local,” where you’ll hear music from artists close to home, and even get the chance to listen in as local musicians talk about where they’ve been, where they’re going, and what’s happening in the local music scene.

Alo Ver — also known as Cassidy Goff — stopped by the studio with Kaze Thomas and Patrick Lydon to talk about what the band has been up to lately, discuss some new releases and upcoming shows, as well as play a little bit of music.

The unique style of Alo Ver takes layered vocals on experimental beats that speak on the nature of “humanity, spirituality and love,” according to the band’s website. Their self-titled album contains seven tracks that take influence from the likes of Sylvan Esso and Flying Lotus, and fans can keep an eye out for upcoming shows at Local 506, Cat’s Cradle, and other local venues.

Listen below for the full conversation between 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck and Alo Ver as they discuss what’s coming up for the band and play three songs live in the 97.9 The Hill studio:  “The Cuckoo,” “Orderly Catastrophe,” and “Gypsy Dream.” Plus, tune in for more Live & Local weekdays at 6:00!
