This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Ashley Rawlinson!

Rawlinson is coordinator for Orange County’s “Healthy Carolininans” program, an initiative designed to better serve public health at a community level, and has consistently gone above and beyond both in her role as coordinator and for other causes — such as her work with Orange County’s opioid task force.

“Healthy Carolinians of Orange County is an organization that brings together a wide variety of agencies, organizations, and individuals to promote public health in our community,” said Quintana Stewart, Orange County health director. “Its mission is to plan and implement healthcare strategies to improve health outcomes for all of orange county’s residents. … Everything that we do is for the community, and you never want to make decisions or develop programs for the community without the community. That’s, like, public health 101. You learn you have to start where the community is.”
