Mack Brown asked and fans packed the stands of Kenan Stadium as the Tar Heels faced off against Miami.
In the closing minutes of the game, freshman QB Sam Howell hit Dazz Newsome for a touchdown to put UNC ahead 28-25. Miami missed the game-tying field goal and the Tar Heels celebrated the first victory in Kenan Stadium this season.
Up next: a Friday night matchup against Wake Forest.
