After spending her junior season with the UNC women’s basketball program, wing Trayanna Crisp has entered her name back into the transfer portal. Crisp transferred to Carolina in the 2024 offseason after playing her first two seasons at Arizona State.
Crisp appeared in 28 games this season with one start, averaging 5.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. She missed nine games across the months of January and February due to a lower-body injury, but returned for the NC State game on February 16 and played in every contest afterward.
Crisp scored in double figures in four of UNC’s first eight games, but would only do so two more times for the remainder of the season. Her best performance came in a February 23 win at Louisville, when Crisp scored 19 points and made three three-pointers to help the Tar Heels to a 79-75 comeback victory. It was UNC’s first ever road win against the Cardinals.
Crisp will have one year of eligibility remaining at her next school. She is the first Tar Heel to enter her name into the transfer portal during the 2025 offseason.
