The UNC wrestling team won its second dual match in three days Sunday in Carmichael Arena, dominating Little Rock from start to finish in a 37-6 rout.

Carolina has now won its last six home duals, including a decisive win over rival Duke last Friday.

Spencer Moore and Joe Heilmann got things started for the No. 22 Tar Heels, each earning convincing victories over their opponents from the Trojans. Carolina’s highest-ranked wrestlers, Kizhan Clarke, Austin O’Connor and Clay Lautt, each also nailed down victories in the dual. All in all, the Tar Heels won 11 of 12 total matches Sunday.

“I thought we looked good today,” said head coach Coleman Scott. “We want to win every time we set foot on the mat, and I think we had some good performances today.”

Zach Sherman, Gavin Kane and Max Shaw, each also ranked in the top 30 of their individual weight classes, also earned wins.

UNC has now won three consecutive dual matches going back to a win over Appalachian State in December. The team is 6-4 in duals this season, with four more on the schedule before the ACC Championships in March. Each of those four duals are against ACC opponents, with three coming on the road. Up first, UNC will travel to Virginia on Friday before three consecutive ranked duals close out the regular season.
