Carolina used a dominant second half effort to cruise past visiting Temple at Dorrance Field Tuesday night, defeating the Owls 19-3 to stay undefeated in 2025.

The Tar Heels outscored Temple 11-0 in the second half after taking an 8-3 lead into halftime. The Owls had kept things close thanks to a low-scoring second quarter, one which saw only three totals goals scored (two by UNC, one by Temple). The second half was a different story: UNC scored seven goals in a span of less than six minutes to blow the contest wide open. Temple managed just six total shots in the final 30 minutes and no shots on goal at all in the fourth quarter. On the other side, UNC totaled 27 shots, 19 of which were on goal.

Star redshirt freshman Chloe Humphrey turned in another masterful performance, scoring a career-high six goals and adding two assists. Humphrey’s 12 total shots nearly outpaced Temple’s entire team: the Owls had 14. Marissa White and Ashley Humphrey each also finished with hat tricks in the rout.

UNC is now 6-0 on the season, having won each game by at least five goals. Up next, the Tar Heels will welcome No. 14 Virginia to Dorrance Field Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
