Make it two wins in a row for the UNC volleyball team, which completed play in the Carolina Classic on Saturday night at Carmichael Arena with a clean 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-21, 25-14) over the Radford Highlanders.
The win was the Tar Heels’ second of the day after having defeated Colgate 3-1 during the afternoon. As a result, UNC improves to 3-7 through its first 10 matches, while Radford drops to 4-8.
Parker Austin tallied a team-high 15 kills for the Tar Heels, while Lauren Harrison chipped in nine kills and six blocks. Hunter Atherton’s 17 assists were also a team-high.
Overall, the Tar Heels were easily the better team in this match posting a .238 hitting percentage compared to just .110 for Radford.
