For just the second time in nine tries this season, the UNC volleyball team earned itself a victory.
The Tar Heels defeated the Colgate Raiders 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 25-23) on Saturday afternoon at Carmichael Arena as part of the Carolina Classic.
Lauren Harrison led the way for UNC (2-7) as she delivered a team-high 15 kills. She was joined in double figures in that category by teammates Parker Austin (12) and Carly Peck (10).
A hitting percentage of .203 proved to be enough to help the Tar Heels snap what had been a four-match losing skid.
With the loss, Colgate fell to 7-4 so far this season.
