After beginning ACC play 0-3 in recent weeks, the UNC women’s basketball team snapped that losing streak in dominant fashion on Thursday night at Carmichael Arena–defeating the visiting Wake Forest Demon Deacons by a score of 84-61.

Junior guard Taylor Koenen drained four three-pointers and matched her career high of 21 points to lead the Tar Heels (10-8, 1-3 ACC), who outscored Wake Forest (9-8, 0-4 ACC) 56-18 in the first half.

The Tar Heels had five players score in double figures and matched their season high of 12 made shots from three-point range on their way to the blowout victory–a game in which Wake Forest never once seriously threatened the lead.

It was UNC’s largest margin of victory in an ACC game since defeating the Demon Deacons 83-45 back on Feb. 19, 2015.
