An eight-point loss to Kentucky at the CBS Sports Classic on Saturday in Chicago caused UNC to tumble out of the top 10 to number 14 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

UNC was ranked ninth after beating highly ranked Gonzaga last weekend. But turnovers proved to be too much to overcome for the Tar Heels against Kentucky on Saturday. On the strength of the win over Carolina, Kentucky moved up three spots to No. 16 this week.

Duke is back atop the AP poll after last week’s No. 1 Kansas lost at Arizona State.

The Blue Devils are followed by Michigan, who account for one of UNC’s three losses this season, Tennessee, Virginia and Kansas in the top five. The Florida State Seminoles jumped up to ninth in the new rankings, while North Carolina State rounds out the Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the Top 25 as the Wolfpack are No. 20. This marks the first time NC State has been ranked since 2013.

UNC is back in action on Saturday hosting Davidson.
