UNC senior offensive lineman Charlie Heck was one of 83 players selected Tuesday to the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which is awarded annually to the top player at the position in college football by the Football Writers Association of America.

Heck has started 22 games for the Tar Heels over the last two seasons, including all 11 last season at offensive tackle.

The Missouri native was named as the team’s lineman of the week twice last year, while posting a grade of 82 in seven of the nine games which were graded.
