The anticipation around UNC football’s upcoming season continues to build and the program announced another indication of this on Monday.

Season tickets for football at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill are sold out, according to a release from the athletics department. It is the second time since head coach Mack Brown returned to the program in 2018 that fans purchased all available season tickets.

Brown acknowledged the news on Twitter Monday morning, thanking the fans for their support of the football team.

2021 will represent a major contrast to last football season, where public health guidelines around COVID-19 limited crowds at all fall athletic events to largely family members and UNC students.

In its release, UNC said there is still a limited number of 2021 ticket packages available for purchase, including the Pick-3 Package and the Family Package. Group tickets for parties of 15 or more are also available for purchase now for all games except Duke and Florida State.

Pending availability, single-game tickets will go on-sale to the public on Monday, July 26.

Fans who go to games in Kenan Stadium this fall will see a Carolina team returning 21 or 22 starters who played in the Orange Bowl last season, as well as an incoming freshman class ranked in the top-15 across the country.

UNC football kicks off its season on the road Friday, September 3, against Virginia Tech. The home opener for the 2021 season against Georgia State is on Saturday, September 11.
