The North Carolina Tar Heels made sure they would not be the first No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 16 seed in the NCAA Tournament by pounding Texas Southern on Friday afternoon.

UNC dispatched of Texas Southern in easy fashion in Greenville, South Carolina, after the games were moved from Greensboro due to North Carolina’s House Bill 2.

Carolina’s 103-64 victory on Friday was fueled by six Tar Heels scoring double figures, led by Junior Justin Jackson’s 21 points.

UNC led by 20-plus points throughout most of the ballgame.

Carolina will now face Arkansas on Sunday in the second round of tournament play.
