The UNC football program announced Thursday that it has signed a deal agreeing to a home-and-home football series against UConn, with the games scheduled to be played during the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
In 2026, the teams will do battle in Chapel Hill on Saturday, Sept. 19 while the series shifts to Connecticut for the 2027 season with a matchup set for Saturday, Sept. 18.
UNC is 3-0 all-time against UConn in football, winning games in 1990, 2008 and 2009.
The Tar Heels and Huskies are also scheduled to play one another in the upcoming 2020 campaign on Nov. 7 at Kenan Stadium.
