After six members of the UNC wrestling team qualified for the upcoming NCAA Championships with their performances in the ACC Championships this past weekend, two more Tar Heels were added to the field Tuesday as at-large bids.

Josh McClure will now compete for the title at 157 pounds, while Devin Kane was placed in to the 174-pound bracket.

The duo joins Gary Wayne Harding (133 pounds), A.C. Headlee (141 pounds), Austin O’Connor (149 pounds), Chip Ness (184 pounds), Brandon Whitman (197 pounds) and Cory Daniel (heavyweight) as Tar Heels competing in the NCAA Championships–which begin March 21 in Pittsburgh.

A knee injury knocked McClure out of the first round at the ACC Championships, while Kane came up short in the consolation finals.

A total of 45 at-large selections were included in the NCAA Championship field.
