The NCAA revealed its brackets its upcoming Wrestling Championships in Minneapolis next weekend, with each of the seven Tar Heels competing finding out their seedings for the event–led by sophomore Austin O’Connor, the No. 2 seed at 149 pounds.

O’Connor received the highest seeding for the event by a UNC wrestler since T.J. Jaworsky was the No. 1 seed at 134 pounds back in 1995.

The next highest seed earned by a Tar Heel this season was by Zach Sherman, the No. 11 seed at 141 pounds.

A.C. Headlee and Kennedy Monday each earned the No. 18 seed at 157 and 165 pounds, respectively, while ACC Champion Clay Lautt was listed as the No. 14 seed at 174 pounds.

Jaime Hernandez is the No. 23 seed at 133 pounds and Andrew Gunning represents the final Tar Heel in the event as the No. 30 seed at 265 pounds.

Each bracket consists of 33 wrestlers. The event will be held March 19-21 at US Bank Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings–marking the first time the event has ever been held at an NFL stadium.
