The 17th-ranked UNC wrestling team fell to Stanford on the road Saturday by a score of 21-11, representing the Tar Heels’ first loss of the young dual meet season.

After defeating Michigan in their first match, the Tar Heels are now 1-1 on the year.

Stanford won seven of the 10 individual matches against UNC on Saturday, with the Tar Heels only receiving major decision victories from Jaime Hernandez (133 pounds) and Clay Lautt (174 pounds) to go along with a close win by California native Michael Goldfeder at 149 pounds.
