For the second time in her young collegiate career, UNC’s Sasha Neglia was named the ACC Cross Country Freshman of the Week.
The league announced the honor on Wednesday, with Neglia coming off of a third place finish in the 5K at last week’s Wolfpack Invite.
She was the only freshman among the top nine finishers, posting a time of 17:29.5.
Neglia was previously named the ACC Performer of the Week and the NCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week following her debut performance at the Virginia Invite in late September.
