UNC junior quarterback Nathan Elliott was recognized Monday as one of the Manning Award’s eight Stars of the Week for his performance in the Tar Heels’ 38-35 win over Pittsburgh this past Saturday.

Elliott completed 22 of his 31 passes for a career-high 313 yards in the game, while also throwing two touchdown passes and no interceptions.

Each week, the Manning Award highlights outstanding performances by eight different quarterbacks–with this being Elliott’s first time receiving the honor.

Other players recognized this week include: Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama), Will Grier (West Virginia), Blake LaRussa (Old Dominion), McKenzie Milton (UCF), Duane Haskins (Ohio State), Mitchell Guadagni (Toledo) and K.J. Costello (Stanford).

Elliott and the Tar Heels will look to continue their winning streak when they travel to face Miami this week on Thursday night in a nationally televised game on ESPN.
