An overtime loss to then-No. 1 Wake Forest this past weekend caused the UNC men team to fall two spots in the United Soccer Coaches’ Poll, with the newest edition on Tuesday seeing the Tar Heels now check in at No. 5
Pittsburgh is the new No. 1 team in America, followed by Wake Forest, Clemson, Kentucky and UNC.
Because only a limited number of schools are competing this fall, the coaches poll for this season includes just five teams.
Through three games so far, the Tar Heels are 2-1 with wins over Duke and Clemson in addition to the loss to Wake Forest.
UNC is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 27 with a rematch against Clemson.
